In middle school, I had gotten a starter point and shoot camera because that's what I could afford. When using my mothers dslr camera to take pictures of African wildlife, I found out why having a nice, professional camera is really nice. To have the zoom and keep the clarity to fully appreciate the true beauty and uniqueness of the animals. I knew that when I got back to the States, I would save up a summer's wage to be getting my first semi-professional dslr. However, I really started getting into nature photography because of my experiences with hunting. It showed me so much more and taught me so much more about animals and nature in general, that I would have never learned. And I understand hunting isn't for everyone, so I aim to use photography to teach the information about animals I learned over time, to teach people facts about animals around the world that they may not know. The world has so much to offer and there are so many animals and places that have so much history and beauty that you can’t get from a book. It is something you have to see and feel, which is what I hope to provide with my pictures.
